Power Cat - Season 1 Episode 1 - Stealing Diamonds
Author's Note: Power Cat is set right after the events of Masked Rider season 1 and has a crossover with Masked Rider season 2. This series is heavily important to Outcasts as well as the first two seasons of Masked Rider.
Selina Kyle aka Catwoman was walking on top of a museum in Metropolis, during the dark night and she reminded herself of the target. She traveled from Gotham City to Metropolis for one reason - that reason being MONEY. It kept the rich in power and the poor on the ground begging for food. She was tired for begging. So, she was on a heist that would mean she gets her taste of...power. Money is power.
"If I get those diamonds, I can finally be free of Gotham and settle down with someone...even if not a bat." She says to herself as she was walking on the roof of the museum, stealthily. Her hair was in a bun and her suit was zipped up again.
She climbs her way inside through the vents with ease and makes it to the display case until...
She gets pulled up by Power Girl in the air in a white and red blur.
"Did nobody tell you stealing is bad?" Power Girl said with a smirk.
She grabbed her whip and wrapped it around Selina.
"Now, why would you steal that?" She continued to ask questions towards the thief.
Selina tries to wiggle her way out with no success and can't help but to laugh at the situation, but she was all out of Kryptonite and Power Girl was super...very super...strong.
"A girl has to eat..." She replies as an excuse for stealing.
Power girl just rolled her eyes at her respond as she lifts her up effortlessly.
"Please, a girl like you could get a better life, if she used those skills in a positive way..."
Kara couldn't help but whenever she looked at her, she didn't see a villain...but someone whose lost.
"Batman does care for you, but he's batman..."
"Batman always leaves at the end of the day to his cave of brooding. I don't need him." Selina snapped back angrily at the Kryptonian.
Selina tries to wriggle again without any yield and begins to feel almost scared of the hero as with Batman, she still showed him a decent fight and won a few lucky times. Kara was out her league.
"Hey, I acting as Robin Hood to the people of Gotham. I stopped as I realised nobody was looking out for me." The thief continued to speak angrily.
"Well, you're not the most trustworthy person but hey......maybe I can be that person!" Said Kara naively as she thought she could make Selina turn a new leaf.
"Maybe you can stay at my place!" She said still holding her in the air.
Selina was acting tough yet she was terrified of heights and felt very nauseas indeed.
"Yeah, right! What kind of self righteous hero would you be if you didn't dump me in prison to serve time?" Selina said cynically as she has problems believing people and she then thinks how easy it would be to escape if that were the case.
Selina wiggles again to escape with no luck.
"I am getting tired of this..."
"Well, you have no choice cause you could come with me or i throw you into Bludhaven or worse give you to the Suicide Squad!" Kara threatened her.
Kara was gonna let her go because of pity, but what the heck! At least, she could have fun with her powers.
"I can do this..." Kara muttered to herself. She was still insecure about the whole flying thing.
She flies to the sky where they can see the whole city.
"I can let you go and see if you have nine lives!" Kara said to Selina.
Selina's face went pale.
"Put me down! I am going to be sick." Selina said as her heart began racing and she was almost tempted to cry yet she remained her strong self.
She was terrified of heights.
"I guess your place isn't so bad...compared to this."
"Great, now we have an understanding..." Kara smiled happily.
Kara flies to her apartment/lair as she places Selina on the couch still wrapped with the whip, but with her mask and goggles off leaving her black hair down. She really did look beautiful in the moonlight.
"Okay, I'll be back in a flash!"
Kara leaves to get some stuff for her and Selina.
Selina can't help but giggle at Kara and about how completely cute and kind she was. How could anyone be that way? I guess having superpowers makes the world a lot less scary and you don't have to deal with abusive men...the streets...the orphanage. Maybe the past weighed her down lately.
Selina tries to get out of her whip but sees that Power Girl tied a superhuman knot around herself and it would be quite impossible to escape.
"Where is she?" Selina asks herself quite puzzled.
Kara arrives carrying a box and a change of clothes a t shirt and flannel with jeans and sneakers with glasses on. She had a big innocent smile on her face.
"Okay, I got some clothes for you and some Kryptonian items in case something happens!"
She puts on Selina a seemingly normal necklace on her as she unties the knot.
"Okay, now you can get up!"
As she gets up, Selina tries to attack Kara, but can't she then she tries to pull of the necklace and...she doesn't want to, at the same time. It was weird. Not surprising for something alien though.
"Is this a cat collar...? Why can't I...?" Selina says bewildered by the fact the collar keeps her from hurting others.
"it's a Kryptonian restraining collar!" She says with a smile on her face like always. "It makes you harmless and can't take it off by you're own accord, but hey on the bright side, it looks like a normal necklace..."
Kara gives her a box of stuff.
"My room is over there make yourself at home as i make you a midnight snack." She messes up her hair and goes to the kitchen.
"Now, I know you're angry, but think about it...you'll be safe and sound...with me!" She said with a cute giggle.
"I'm not exactly used to safe. What do you do outside of hero stuff exactly?" Selina asks as she zips off her Catwoman outfit and puts on the outfit Kara gave her.
"Well, just hang out with people and just try to enjoy myself with them." She said with a warm smile. "I might be power girl, but I also like not being her. I just wanna be me, Kara..."
Kara gives her the snack and looks down at her.
"Now, just stay here. Don't be Catwoman. Don't be Selina Kyle aka the rich girl..." A grin forms on her face again. "Be Selina Kyle aka the normal girl..." She runs a hand on her hair.
"Thank you." Selina replies with a warm smile that was previously hidden from Kara.
The truth was that Selina Kyle forgot what normal was a very longtime ago in Gotham. Metropolis was a city of hope unlike Gotham and she felt that. Maybe she had a chance to be normal.
"Do you have a job to help maintain a secret identity?"
"well sorta im kinda of a writer and a 'cosplayer' something that people call me for some reason?"
Kara gives Selina a book.
"I know it's a cheesy superhero book that I wrote alone, but i hope you like it..." She says timidly.
She fixes her glasses.
"So, what do you want you're new secret identity to be?" Said Kara stretching.
"I think that Selina Kyle is just fine as I don't like mingling with people in metropolis. No offence." She explained how she really didn't want the same secret lifestyle that Kara had.
"Non taken...well that's fine...you could find a job over here or something." Kara says before she yawns and stretches. Even though she is taller and bigger than Selina, she had a very nice heart
"Look, even though you're afraid you can't let fear control you...okay? Well, night..." She playfully kisses Selina in the cheek as she goes to her room while in the bed.
"....sweetie"
She falls asleep.
