Masked Rider - Season 1 Episode 2 - Old Scars
"The only reason I'm not calling you princess right now is because of that armour and many princesses in today's pop culture are strong and powerful like Elsa." She snaps back like a true diva. "Also, thanks for the help and all. You didn't have to save me back there and the wolves could've had me. Maybe there's still a little spark of niceness under that freaky armour."
Awkward silence.
"What is that symbol thing and what is going on? Don't call me princess or anything stereotypical!" She sounded like a irradiated child. In her defense, her entire life was blown up...in ways quite literal too.
He looks at her.
''Wow, feminist much. Anyway, this is a shocker trooper. They may look human but...'' He says as he cuts in the middle of the body to see wires and metal.
''They're machines. And unfortunately, they know everything about where you live, where you work, your family, your friends and everything else, but thus is the tip of the ice burg.''
He shows her a database on her with everything about her and pictures of her bringing him to her apartment last night.
''Shocker is not just a crime organization...''
"Most of this sounds either too fictional or just too horrifying to handle. How can we stop them from looking at me? Also, can we not hate each other here? We need to work as a team type of unit thing for a little bit..." Belle says timidly.
''Well, if you wanna make yourself useful don't mess with my stuff. I'm serious.'' The Masked Rider replied.
He points at her as he leaves the warehouse to handle some stuff leaving her there.
Belle opens the duffel bag, despite the Masked Rider telling her not to touch anything. She had to know more about what was going on...
She opens the bag to find...her mp3, headphones, some clothes and a note from the Masked Rider. He was kind enough to get some things from her apartment. Though it was scribble was written in a rush, the message was clear that she was silly to think that the bag held secrets and that she could burn time by using his training area in the warehouse.
"That smart son of a bitch."
She walks up some stairs until she sees some punching bags, weapons and more stuff for training. Belle was pretty impressed.
I want to be able to defend myself against weird robots...little things like that. She thought to herself as she threw a single punch at a punching bag that has some name labeled on it. 'Eliza' was the faded name she saw written in pen on the punching bag.
Belle looks around the warehouse. The weapons and bike parts were near some newspaper clippings of people in similar armor to the Masked Ride. And what looked like they were fighting together as a team. She goes to her bag and checks for some workout clothes and she looks at her self in the mirror
She looked like a mess. Her long black hair was frazzled and she had bruises on her arms from when she got hit into a wall. Her green eyes still looked a little shaken. Her heart tights and cupcake t-shirt were also dirty.
Belle finds no real workout clothes in the bag as she did like to mainly wear dresses on most days. She puts on black tights and a skirt with a t-shirt and red leather jacket.
Belle then continues to look around the warehouse and she gets a little curious and looks on the Rider's computer. She sees files like Rider databases, Shocker databases, city databases and she can't believe there are other Riders and they seem like they're good guys, but she really tries to find out why they want her and what connection does the Rider have with them.
She then searches for her mp3 to chill out and she picks a song she continues to looks through the databases to figure out just what the heck is going on.

Belle looks at more pictures of the Masked Rider to solve the mystery of why he does what he does and her thoughts wonder on who he could've lost. A little part of her wants to open her heart to him yet he seems so hardened by events that she would be doing it to a brick wall.
Belle knows that all the important files required passwords and she wasn't exactly a hacker.
Just then, Belle hears the Rider's bike arrive. She tries to act all chill...
He arrived with more food, some more clothes and some other stuff for Belle in another duffel bag he had. He parks his red and white bike inside and sees Belle on his computer.
''Hey, I have some more stuff for you.'' He said in his not so bossy tone.
He sets the bag in a nearby table and and Belle walks up to me and starts looking at him funny and then goes to open the bag.
Belle opens the bag to find that her Father's boxing robe was in there to her surprise. She was certain that the printed boxer name 'Blackstar' on it was overlooked by the Masked Rider. Though memories Belle had of her father were mainly abusive ones with him beating her, before he failed as a boxer and got in dept, one of her happiest memories was of watching her Father take all of the punches and get back up. He was a fighter...maybe that's why Belle was so fascinated by the man she met. She sees a real fighter in him.
"I'm sorry if I've been annoying for you." She says.
He sees that Belle was looking at that boxing robe very fondly, but he didn't know exactly why. He pulls out some more stuff for her.
''You're not that annoying. I also got some more stuff for you..." He says as he tries to be caring at Belle and he awkwardly pats her on the back.
Belle kisses the Masked Rider on the cheek of his helmet.
The Masked Rider mainly pulled out more practical outfits that Belle had from leather pants to dark hoodies. It was rather thoughtful of him to get stuff for her.
"You're sweet." Belle replies. "You didn't have to get all of these things especially with it being dangerous out there."
Belle looks deeper into the bag to find the one thing she has to remind her of her Mother. Belle never knew her Mother and was left with her Father. It was a cross necklace to which Belle only took of when she went to be a nurse. She puts it on again and looks in the mirror. Belle wasn't catholic yet she had that upbringing and from what her Dad told her, her Mother was quite the believer until she left them.
Belle kisses him in the cheek on his helmet, but the Masked Rider didn't know why.
''It's my job now to keep you safe and I thought that I could use your help in some stuff outside...'' He says in his usual distorted voice that made him sound like Batman or Green Arrow.
As Belle admires the equipment , he pulls out a small box with a weird pen looking thing and shows Belle.
''Also, I found this...apparently Shocker was thinking of investing in some stealth gear and this is one of their gadgets. Maybe I can use this for some sneaking jobs in the future. Well, let me test it out...'' He says as the pen scans him and he changes a couple of settings and a big flash appears.
Suddenly, Belle was standing right next to Lady Gaga. She was shocked by Shocker technology quite ironically.
"Lady gaga disguise? My life has gotten a thousand times weirder now..." She says.
The Masked Rider turns on the flash again to reverse it as to not freak out Belle because she probably couldn't handle anymore weird news. He did want to test it out more though in the future.
Belle looks like she wants more information about the hero yet she looks away from the Masked Rider as she doesn't want to annoy him or have any conflict happen with him trying to hold onto his secrets.
"How can I help exactly?" She asks.
He changes himself back from Gaga and then he puts away the pen. Then Belle looks away from him...
''Well, if you do this job for me, I will see that I can trust you." He says looking at her back as Belle was looking away. "How do you look in a dress?" He says as Belle is confused. He goes to his computer and pulls up a file on a rich man in town.
''His name is Jacob Andrews and he's working with Shocker to use the City as a way to get more hidden activity from them. I need you to go to a party he's having, put this flash drive in his computer and search his phone for anything related with Shocker. Use anything you can, but do it as stealthily as you can."
He then shows her where the party is taking place and when it is starting on the computers. Belle was still a little shaken from being shot at by a Shocker trooper...
''I understand if you don't want to do this, but it's the only shot we have to get him. Are you up for it?" He says.
"I'll do it. The problem is that the last party I went to was when my Father won a boxing fight and I was 12. Social anxiety levels are through the roof right now. I also don't look too good in fancy dresses. With all of those problems aside, I'm yearning for some action." She replied with her hands shaking as she went to get ready.
Belle looks at the clothes you salvaged from her place and pick out a glittery blue dress. She puts on red lipstick and straightens her hair down until it looked very silky. She decided to keep her Mother's cross on as a sort of good luck charm. Belle does one last twirl before playing her sad song to get it out of her system.

She can't think of her Father now. She just can't.
"I'm ready." She says at Masked Rider.
He saw Belle put on the dress. You look kinda cute, but i'm not in the interested in dating right now. He thinks to himself.
''Okay, here's a phone you can use just call me whenever your in trouble...'' He replies.
The Rider gives her an iPhone 7, which Belle is surprised since he didn't look like he was the type to get a phone as expensive as that. They both get on the bike and as they both drive, Belle can't help but hold him tighter as she feels protected by him.
''Okay, we're here remember try to not blow your cover.''
"That coming from the man dressed like bug or something...I'll be fine." Belle retorted as he felt like he was being a little patronizing or maybe she was taking her anxiety out on him...
Belle walks up to the venue and manages to convince the bouncers to let her in as she was only a small sincere looking type of girl after all. The bouncers on the entrance mainly agreed because of how beautiful she looked, but Belle wasn't the flirting to strangers type.
The building itself looked like it was dominated by offices on the upper floors yet the bottom floor was filled with classical music with many people dancing. Belle found the stairs and went up them much to her legs agony. She found Andrews' office and went in. Nobody was up on the top floor as the party was the big office attraction. Belle puts the flash drive in to find that it required a whole hour to download the files. Belle sat in Jacob's office chair for the time and looked out into the cold city at night.
"Little Blackstar..." Belle whispers to herself as motivation because that was what her Father nicknamed her.
Once the files finally downloaded, Belle headed down the steps again as using the elevator would be too attention seeking. She made it back to the party floor and then approached Jacob to ask for a selfie.
"It would be my pleasure dear." He replies.
Belle asks whether she could borrow his phone for the picture and realizes that his phone was the same as her own. She decided to erase the number that was on her own and then made a switch behind her back with a purse helping too.
Andrew then slaps Belle on the ass after the selfie and asks whether she would like to have sex with him. She walks out of the building into the cold night without a way to contact the Masked Rider now.
As Belle walks she sees that people get out of a car and they had a symbol in their arms. It was the Shocker symbol and she tries to act cool as she leaves, but then she hears a motorcycle and she sees it's the the other scary Rider.
She quickly goes inside a nearby store to hide. How could he have found me? She thought to herself.
He quickly enters the store as she covers her mouth as she sees that his eyes light up red. She was terrified hiding under a rack of clothes like a scared little girl.
"Now, where are you..." The scary Rider muttered in a cold robotic voice.
As he passes right next to Belle, he gets a call through the com in his helmet. ''What?!" He says clearly annoyed to be interrupted.
"Subject S.I 71 is here in the area,sir..." A man in his com says.
"On my way...''He leaves the store and gets on his bike .
Belle gets up from where she was hiding. What did he mean by subject? Was the masked rider that subject? She rambled on in her mind.
She quickly tries to run and goes where the Rider had left her. She sees his bike...
Belle runs to the spot to see the Masked Rider hiding in the shadows and she instantly hugs him tightly with tears rolling down her eyes. She felt so powerless.
"I got the flash drive and phone, but the shocker guy person was hunting me down once I got out...my ass still hurts after Jacob slapped it...it's cold...and I feel so powerless." She stammered out weakly.
He puts his hands on Belle's shoulder to calm her down. ''Calm down...calm down. Breath...tell me exactly what happened.'' The Masked Rider said.
"I have to get something of my chest right here because you need to the extend to which I crack under events like these." Belle said with tears streaming down. "During my childhood, my Father would hit me on a daily basis after boxing failed him and I still haven't recovered from any of that. Call it PTSD or whatever, I am not made to be able to survive these events. It got so bad once that I wanted to kill myself and that's where I got this scar on my right arm..." She says.
He just looks at Belle and hugs her. He then wipes her tears and he just looks at her for a second before he gently grabs her hand that has the scar.
''That thing is in the past...you need face those fears, if you want to continue to live on. We all are afraid of something...but we need to conquer those fears. I conquered mine when i became this. You need to conquer yours, if you wanna live...'' He says sweetly to her, despite it being through his distorted voice.
Belle looks at him as she wipes her tears and gives a weak smile to him. She hugs him tightly and she realizes that she needs him because he makes her life mean something. Heck, she did something she never thought she would do in her life. The Rider looks around that they are in the clear. He and Belle get on the bike to ride to the warehouse.
